Qualified to A3302584 drawing, our TFOCA GenX tactical fiber optic connectors provide dependable performance in harsh environments where high cycle mating is of concern. These connectors are based on the widely-used, telecommunications grade 2.5mm ceramic ferrule technology. Our TFOCA GenX connectors are easy to maintain in the field and resistant to corrosion, shock, as well as thermal shock environments. Some of the applications currently employing Stran’s TFOCA GenX include outdoor fiber optic networks, emergency restoration systems, video/data transmission, deployable military tactical systems, as well as homeland security and surveillance.

The GenX connectors are compatible with legacy products and STRAN Technologies has harmonized them to ensure alignment with MIL-PRF-83526/16 and /17 specifications. Our connectors have captured split alignment sleeves for improved insertion loss performance, plus field demountable Termini for improved maintainability and repolish. They are available in standard hermaphroditic or genderless 4, 8, or 12 channel configurations, and meet mechanical interface requirements specified under MIL-PRF-83526/16 & /17. Part sub-components need not be replaced for accommodating singlemode or multimode fibers as the same GenX connector is compatible with both of them.
